The selection of photographs was on exhibit at the Casa Monejo in Mérida until October 2022. The Casa Montejo is a palace on the Plaza Independencia, now a museum and bank. It was built by conquistador Francisco de Montejo between 1544 and 1549. There was no opening ceremony due to COVID.
Beverley Spears gave a presentation in English and Spanish on September 9th, 2022, speaking about her project to visit, photograph and study the sixteenth century conventos of Mexico, what drew her to these monuments, their importance and architectural interest.
